April 2011
April 2, 2011, Superior Performance Training was involved in the Town Hall meeting at the Mint Museum Uptown addressing  childhood obesity in the African American community. As a fitness company that's currently training the youth population, we took action by getting involved with this alarming epidemic by participating in the event. Harry White of Superior Performance Training was a panelist featured among such keynote speakers such as the Mayor of Charlotte, Anthony Foxx, Barbara Pellin of the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Schools, Cheryl Emanuel with the Mecklenburg County Health department, and five other keynote speakers.  Harry discussed ideas that individuals and families can do to start addressing the problem and engaged the audience offering real-world statistics and scenarios on the topic.  This is just one of the ways Superior Performance Training will be taking a hands-on approach on this topic and will be offering more programs on this important issue in the very near future.
